Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and thank you for your interest in Mackie Lake House. We are a designated heritage home located on the shores of Kalamalka Lake. Our wedding ceremonies are held on the expansive lawn overlooking the lake, framed by two very impressive and old Linden trees. The spacious front lawns easily accommodate 150-175 guests and we would love to provide you with this scenic wedding setting.
All chairs, tables and other accessories must be rented and removed by the end of the day. Access to the grounds for decorating begins at 9 am. the day of the wedding. Parking is limited. Guests may be dropped off at the House, but all vehicles, with the exception of the bridal party, must park on Kidston Road or Linden Avenue.
The cost of a wedding ceremony on the grounds is $600 with deposit of $200 required to confirm the rental. The balance of the rental fee is payable fourteen days prior to the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, guests are welcome to stay and enjoy the grounds while the wedding photographs are being taken. The rental is considered to have ended 2 hours following the completion of the wedding ceremony.
If you wish to serve your guests a glass of wine, you will require a Special Occasion License. There is no kitchen access so any appetizers must be fully prepared. If this reception-time exceeds two hours, there may be an additional charge.
Pets are not allowed on the grounds.
