Around The House

Summer 2019

Here at Mackie Lake House, we’re getting ready for another summer in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. We can’t help but marvel at all of the amazing activities our region has to offer—whether you’re just visiting, have friends from out of town, or are looking for an incredible stay-cation.

We feel lucky being situated in Coldstream, on the shores of Kalamalka Lake—just across the water from the Okanagan Rail Trail. If we turn right out of our driveway, we’ll end up Kalamalka Lake Provincial park—a wonderful spot for hiking, picnics, and swimming. If we turn left, we’ll end up at Kal Beach, right next to the Rail Trail Café. We could even rent a paddleboard for the day.

Mackie Lake House is one of those Coldstream gems that you may not have visited. And yet—the 2019 summer programming season packs a big punch regardless of what may be on your Okanagan bucket list. The season kicks off with an Elegant Saturday Afternoon Tea on July 6th, with one sitting at 4pm. This is an opportunity for everyone to dress up and let their imagination run wild bringing out their Downton Abbey finest.

Morning and Afternoon teas take place every Thursday at 10am and 2pm in July and August, while visitors can take a guided tour of the Mackie Lake House at 11 am every Tuesday in July and August. We’ll wrap up the summer with Music at Mackie—two outdoor concerts featuring the Legendary Lake Monsters (July 19th) and Chipko Jones (August 16th). Finally—for those nostalgic lovers of all things European—we’ll host a Parisian Garden Party on September 15th.
Tickets to every event at Mackie Lake House can be found exclusively at . Remember to follow Mackie Lake House on our website, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to stay up to date. See you this summer!
