Around the House

Late Summer 2020

What a summer! We were so thankful for the great weather and support we have received from the Okanagan community. Although we have had to change how we interact with the public in light of Covid-19, we have had a safe summer, sharing our history of this beautiful house and grounds.

One of our major changes was to switch to private tours. Our private tours are available by appointment, for groups of 6 or under within the same social bubble. At first we didn’t know how the public would receive this change. What had seemed to be a challenge turned into a blessing, as we found with the smaller tours we were able to tailor the tour to our guests interests, while keeping everyone safe. By popular demand we are going to continue with these private tours into the fall and next year.

We have also had to rethink our music events. With the Covid-19 restrictions we hosted “3 Mini Music at Mackie,” performances (small outdoor concerts under 50 people). Tickets for the three events were in high demand, quickly selling out. A big thanks our artists and all the people who attended to make these events a great success!

Throughout the summer we have also had the pleasure of hosting several private outdoor functions of under 50 people. It was our honor to have these celebrations of life, small weddings and family birthday parties on our spectacular grounds. We are unsure of what our events will look like as fall and winter approaches, but stay tuned to our newsletters and website.

Please consider us in 2021 for your weddings, family reunions and others celebrations. We appreciate the continued support from the Okanagan and look forward to continuing to serve the public.

All the best, Stay safe.
